MADISON — The Madison Chamber of Commerce has announced its replacement for Susie Masotti, who left her post as executive director nearly two months ago.
A Madison Chamber press release touts Elaine Ballew, new executive director, and her 17 years of experience as an asset manager for both private and public companies. Ballew’s Linkedin account states she is currently an area property manager at Rohdie Management.
“I am intent on keeping the focus of the Chamber on its number one priority – ensuring the success of businesses and the people of Madison by working hand in hand” said Ballew in the press release. “My commitment is to enriching our community through connectivity, customer service, execution, and sustainability.”
Ballew, according to the release, located to the Huntsville area from Germany in a military family and is a graduate of Grissom High School. She also attended the University of North Alabama and Athens State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
“We believe [Ballew’s] background and expertise will make a significant contribution in taking the Madison Chamber to the next level,” said Chamber Board President Amanda Weaver in the announcement.
Interviews were conducted by a three-member search committee that consisted of Mayor Troy Trulock, previous Board President Steve Levy and Director-at-Large Beth Martin of Progress Bank.
A meet-and-greet session is scheduled for Dec. 1 at the Chamber’s YMCA office on Hughes Road from 4-6 p.m.
