Sci-Quest to celebrate Pi Day, March 14
HUNTSVILLE – Math aficionados, along with anyone looking for a fun-filled day, can join Sci-Quest Hands-on Science Center for its Pi Day celebration on March 14 (or 3-14, pi’s first three digits).
In keeping with pi’s digits, the fun starts at 9:26:53 a.m. The event commemorates the mathematical constant named ‘pi.’ “Sci-Quest is celebrating this famous never-ending number with fun pi-related activities,” development/marketing director Jennifer Deermer said.
The activities include a ‘pie’-throwing challenge, computer programming with raspberry pi and a math-themed jewelry-making station for visitors to make their own fashionable pi earrings and more, Deermer said.
Pi Day is open to all ages, and families are encouraged to attend. This event ends at 4 p.m. and is included with general admission to Sci-Quest.
Sci-Quest’s address is 1435 Paramount Drive in Huntsville. For more information, call 256-837-0606 or visit sci-quest.org.
