MADISON – Madison Mayor Troy Trulock recently welcomed a delegation of leaders from Tajikistan to Madison City Hall.

The visitors were affiliated with an Open World tour that the International Services Council of Alabama (ISC) coordinated. Their discussions focused on Madison’s council/mayor form of government and accountable governance.

The delegates from Tajikistan “were very interested in learning about the City of Madison’s open government strategies since their government is planning on implementation in the near future,” ISC Executive Director Jacqui Shipe said.

ISC is aligned with the U.S. Department of State. For more information, call 256-532-3560 or visit iscalabama.org or Facebook/ISC Alabama.
