MADISON – Madison will welcome a new community event in a ‘new’ venue on June 5 with “Party in the Park.”

To benefit Madison Hospital, Huntsville Hospital Foundation is hosting the party at Insanity Complex, 100 Skate Park Drive from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

“In just three years, Madison Hospital’s infant deliveries have increased by 94 percent since the Labor & Delivery Unit opened in 2012,” event coordinator and gifts officer Lindsey Wilson said.

To accommodate continued growth, event proceeds will fund renovation of triage rooms into additional labor rooms. “Our patients can welcome their babies in the comfort of a spacious labor room. The staff will be better able to offer quality, family-centered care,” Wilson said.

“Attending Party in the Park is a great way to support Madison Hospital and enjoy an evening of fun,” she said.

Food truck vendor Earth and Stone Wood-Fired Pizza will cater. “Each guest will receive a meal and one drink ticket, as well as an abundance of appetizers,” Wilson said.

Performing at Party at the Park, Gary Jenkins “is a versatile entertainer who combines comedy and music,” Wilson said. “Gary Jenkins and Thundering Hearts is a high energy band specializing in multiple genres.” Jenkins appears on the ABC-TV’s “Nashville.”

Tickets for Party in the Park are $50 per person. Drink tickets are $25. For tickets, call the foundation office at 256-265-8077 or visit donatenow.hhsys.org/pages/2015-party-in-the-park.

Separate tickets at $25 for drink tasting will feature six types of bourbons, 10 wines and five types of beer, along with plenty of appetizers. A cash bar also will be available.

A cornhole tournament will test skills and reward a cash prize to the winner. Entry fee is $10.

The event is open to individuals 21 years old and older.

Hogan Family YMCA will provide childcare from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. for $10 per child. Guests must register before June 5.

For childcare or more information, call Wilson at 256-265-9451, email to lindsey.wilson@hhsys.org or visit huntsvillehospitalfoundation.org/party-in-the-park or Facebook/Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
