MADISON – Planning is underway, and vendors can apply for a new event scheduled for the Christmas season.

Madison Arts Council (MAC) and the City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department are accepting applications for the Kris Kringle Market on Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Insanity Complex, 100 Skate Park Drive.

“We’re bringing a cherished German and European tradition with international flair and local charm to Madison,” MAC President Beth Ridgeway said.

The Kris Kringle Market will feature artisans and craftsmen from across North Alabama. An Olde World Santa will stroll the aisles to greet guests with jolly rounds of “Merry Christmas.”

Children at the Kris Kringle Market can attend a lantern-making workshop. Wrapping paper stations will be available to ready purchases to sit under the Christmas tree.

“Various food and drink options will be available for our guests,” city event and volunteer coordinator Gayle Milam said.

Vendors will pay $50 for an indoors booth measuring 10 feet square or $60 for a booth that can access electricity. “We have a limited number, so it’s first come, first serve,” Milam said.

Vendors can set up on Nov. 20. The facility will be locked after midnight.

“We are looking for all types of arts and craft vendors. If you are a mutli-level marketing (MLM) company, you must have items to sell at the event,” Milam said.

Interested vendors can apply online at artsmadison.org. For more information, email to info@artsmadison.org.
