MADISON- Bob Jones football games are moving. Moving down the dial that is. After many years with 97.7 The Zone, football coach Kevin Rose has inked a deal with Cumulus Media which owns several radio stations.

Both road and home football games will now be broadcast on WVNN 92.5. The station operates at full signal 24-hours a day and covers most of north-central Alabama, parts of Middle Tennessee, reaching as far east as Huntsville, as far west as Florence/Muscle Shoals, and as far south as Cullman.

Veteran sports radio host and producer Arky Shea will handle play-by-play.

“Our relationship finished with the previous school we broadcast (Madison Academy) and we were looking for a fresh team with a winning pedigree and a large fan footprint. Bob Jones, once we learned was available, was an absolute no-brainer,” Shea said.

“Bob Jones represents everything we are about at Cumulus; elite talent on elite stations with listeners that know quality. We wanted to expand to a loyal listener base that had a proven history of support, pride and fervor for their football team and school.”

Bob Jones football coach Kevin Rose said that radio broadcasts are an important part of the program.

“We could not reach a financial agreement with the previous station so we moved forward,” Rose said.

“Matt Tobin of Cumulus contacted me and wanted to carry Bob Jones football. We are looking forward to working with Arky and everyone at Cumulus.”

The broadcasts will feature a pregame The Coach Kevin Rose Show at 6:45 before kickoff.

Cumulus media includes AM 730 The Ump and broadcasts Alabama football and Tennessee Titans football games. Shea hosts a morning sports talk show on WUMP.

Game broadcasts will be streamed on the station’s website so they can be heard anywhere in the world.
