Zen Beri frozen yogurt bar opens in Target center

Creating your own ice cream cone or sundae is no longer a dream … just scoops of dreamy flavors at Zen Beri.

Zen Beri is a frozen yogurt bar with 14 yogurt flavors, two sorbet flavors and two smoothie flavors. “We provide more than 60 of the freshest fruits, nuts, chocolates, candies and sauces to top your creation,” manager Justin Baker said.

Zen Beri’s address is 141 U.S. 72 W., Suite E in the Shoppes of Madison in the Target shopping center.

Baker also describes Zen Beri as “the freshest and healthiest ‘dessert lounge’ around.” Zeni Beri employees will gladly guide newcomers through all of the possible options.

Customers swirl their own yogurt, “empowering themselves to portion and create their masterpieces,” he said. Customers can make their own smoothies with fresh fruit or add a shot of espresso to their shake.

Popular combinations are strawberry cheesecake swirl with graham cracker crumbs or fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Vanilla and wild strawberry are offered in non-fat without sugar. Non-fat flavors include birthday cake, dreamy dark chocolate, cheesecake, classic tart, blueberry tart, pomegranate energy formula and malted Easter egg.

Low-fat options are white chocolate mousse, cookies and cream, peanut butter, red velvet cupcake and espresso. Non-dairy sorbet choices are watermelon and orange.

Handpicked from around the world, gourmet coffee also is available at Zen Beri. “For a unique experience, come in and try our current featured coffee, ‘Jack the Bear.’ It is a dark, roasted coffee blended from the higher elevations of Peru, Brazil and Africa,” Baker said.

Zen Beri at the Shoppes of Madison is Baker’s second location. “The first is in Decatur. Zen Beri is locally owned and operated with the professionalism and dedication to detail that a franchise can not produce,” he said.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
