Letter to the Editor

By Staff
Dear Editor,
Thursday, June 6 marked the fifth anniversary of the City of Madison's Public Library. According to Ana Tamm-Daniels, our chief librarian, approximately 200 people turned out to help celebrate this event.
The attendees were treated to a variety of Pepsi cold drinks, donated by Buffalo Rock, and a delicious cake donated by Publix Supermarket on Highway 72 in Madison. We thank both these companies for their generosity.
The highlight of the day was provided by Youth Services Librarian Patsy Wilson who entertained the children with humorous stories, crafts and group singing.
Special credit for the success of this event goes to Cindy Hall, Friends of the Library chairperson, Theo Coats and Earl Matthews, Friends of the Madison Library, and Councilman Marc Jacobson, library representative for the council.
The Friends of the Madison Library welcome any interested residents of our city to contact the library at 461-0046 if you would like to join or volunteer your time by assisting the library or bookstore.
Sincerely,
Joe Trevorrow
