Community band to rehearse at new location
The Madison Community Band will begin rehearsals at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Harvest.
The band will practice from 7 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday. The Sept. 3 rehearsal started the beginning of the Fall/Winter concert season with three concerts scheduled.
The band will perform at the Madison Street Festival in October, The Host of Christmas Past concert in Fayetteville, Tenn. and the Madison Community Christmas Concert in December.
Everyone is welcome to come and join the band in preparation for the upcoming season. Mount Zion Baptist Church is located at 228 Mount Zion Road – north of U.S. Highway 72 off Jeff Road.

Museum Academy to offer fall classes for all ages
The Huntsville Museum of Art's Museum Academy is offering several fall art classes for children and adults beginning in September and October. Classes will begin on Sept. 17 for children and Oct. 3 for adults. Register now by calling 535-4350, ext. 222. Classes will be held at the Huntsville Museum of Art in the classrooms. Registration fees range from $25 to $75. Museum members will receive a discount.
