Siegelman awards $144,000 to target domestic violence in Madison County
Gov. Don Siegelman has awarded $144,000 to continue the battle against domestic violence in Madison County.
The grant for the Madison County Domestic Violence Prosecution Enhancement Unit has been approved and local funding of $48,000 is being added to the grant amount. The governor awarded the grant from funds made available to the state through a program of the U.S. Department of Justice.
