Several students from the Madison City Schools and Madison County Schools have been named winners of the Panoply 2003 Billboard Contest.
Local elementary school students entered the competition with hopes of winning one of 20 billboard spots. A panel of volunteers judged the artwork, which represents the Panoply festival through the eyes of children. Artist Glenn Miller will reproduce the artwork for the billboards donated by Lamar Advertising. They will be seen throughout the area in April and will last through the Panoply of the Arts festival in Huntsville on April 25-27.
The following students' artwork will appear on Panoply billboards: Tyler Rist, Heritage Elementary School; Dylan Guajardo, Madison Elementary School; Jaime Bradley, Rainbow Elementary School; Nhu-An Vu Nguyen, Endeavor Elementary School; Bailey Claunch, Harvest Elementary School; Haley Carpenter, Madison Academy; Rodrigo Sarmento, St. John's School.
