Grace UMC sets new hours
There will be a new Sunday studies class offered at Grace United Methodist Church for young adults to age 35. This class will be led by Nick Van Valkenburgh and will meet in the south end of the fellowship hall. Sunday studies classes will begin at 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. A new early worship has been added to the schedule that will be held at 8:30 a.m. The late worship service will begin its new start time at 10:45 a.m.
Messiah sets new service hours
Messiah Lutheran Church in Madison has set new service hours. They are 8:30 a.m., worship; 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Sunday school; 11 a.m., service.
St. John's calendar of events
* Morning of Reflection
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will conduct a "Morning of Reflection" for all its liturgical ministers from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 8. Sister Deborah Kennedy, RSM, the parish administrator of Our Lady of the Valley in Fort Payne, will conduct the morning. Terry Thompson is coordinating the event. Parenting seminar at St. John's
Luther Kramer, one of Huntsville's most experienced pastoral family counselors, will present a positive parenting seminar at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Kramer's hour-long presentation, "Calling Forth Your Children's Gifts", will provide parents with practical approaches for reinforcing the positive accomplishments of their children without placing as much emphasis on the negative. Childcare will be provided. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 325-7596.
Spaghetti supper/talent show
The 6th Annual Messiah Lutheran Church Spaghetti Supper and Talent Show will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the church. All donations will benefit the On Eagle's Wings Bible School mission trip. For more information, call Lois Graff at 430-0510.
