Powers, Smith to wed May 31
Mr. and Mrs. John David Powers, Sr. of Andalusia announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Sharon Powers, to Brandon Cole Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Don Smith of Madison. The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Andalusia High School and a 2001 graduate of The University of Alabama. She is employed by HiWAAY Internet Services of Huntsville as an advertising coordinator. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and the Tennessee Valley Advertising Federation. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace Powers, the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crosby McIntosh, and Mrs. Eugenia McIntosh of Boaz. The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Bob Jones High School and a 2002 graduate of The University of Alabama. He is employed by Sirsi Corporation as a data conversion programmer. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is the grandson of Mrs. Virginia Cole and the late Mr. Cole of Huntsville and Mrs. DeLura Smith and the late Mr. Smith of Gadsden. The wedding will be held May 31 in Andalusia.
