Lockett signs with Austin Peay

By Staff
Bob Jones High School basketball standout Fernandez Lockett has accepted a full athletic scholarship with Austin Peay State University, in Clarksville, Tenn. The 17-year-old, 6-foot-4-inch guard/forward selected Austin Peay over several other schools that offered him a scholarship.
"I think it's a pretty good school for athletics and academics," Lockett said.
Lockett plans to begin summer school at Austin Peay in June. He is the son of Lynn and Velma Lockett of Madison.
