Brown completes Marine basic training

Marine Corps Pvt. Miranda G. Brown, daughter of Denise N. Brown of Harvest, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
Brown is a 2002 graduate of Sparkman High School.
In addition to the physical conditioning program, Brown spent numerous hours in classroom and field assignments, including learning first aid, uniform regulations, combat water survival, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and assorted weapons training.
