Voters move to new polling places

Eighty percent of Madison County’s  more than 208,912 registered voters will vote at their usual polling places in the June 1 Primary.
However, one out of every five, or 20 percent, will vote at a new voting place.
Voting places were moved to make it more convenient for voters with additional, adequate parking. Some old locations were replaced due to security concerns.
If you’re voting location has changed, you will receive a notification letter.
Some 43,000 letters were mailed by the Board of Registrars last week. Each letter will contain information on voting locations and a new voter registration card.
Anyone with a question should call the Madison County Board of Registrars at 532-3510.
You can also go to www.co.madison.al.us/voter. Or all information is provided at http://www.co.madison.al.us/voter
You will find a complete registered voter list, a list of all voting places and directions to the voting place.
The June 1 election is a Democratic or a Republican Primary. The Primary Election Run-offs will be held on July 13. The November General Election is set for Nov. 2.
The last day to register or make a name or address change to vote in the June 1 Primary is May 21.
A registration or change of address form can be filled out on-line and then printed.
