Man arrested after fleeing from police

Madison Police have arrested a 32-year-old man on possession of a controlled substance and attempting to elude officers after the man was found unresponsive in his vehicle Sept. 3.

Capt. Jim Cooke said officers and medical personnel received a call at 9:42 a.m. in reference to an unresponsive man in a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex off Short Street,

Cooke said the suspect, Jeremy Davis of Madison, fled when he noticed medical personnel and officers around his car.

Upon pursuit, officers noticed Davis throwing some containers out of his window, which Cooke said could or could not contain drugs. Cooke said officers are still searching for the containers.

The chase ended on County Line Road, when the man eventually pulled over.

Davis is being held on a $16,000 bond.
