BJHS homecoming parade to close Hughes Road Sept. 30 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Hughes Road will be closed from Mill Road to Eastview beginning at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sept. 30 for the Bob Jones High School homecoming parade.

The closing with last the duration of the parade route, which is estimated to last about an hour.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m.

Roads should re-open around 7 p.m., and be cleared of the parade traffic by this time.

It will also be necessary to close Portal Lane from Hughes Road to Stave Mill during the hours of 3:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. to facilitate both the parade preparation and the actual parade route.

The City of Madison apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to motorists.

However, these road closings are necessary in order facilitate traffic safety and allow everyone to enjoy this very special occasion.
