Jane Douthit; Oct. 8, 2010

Dr. Jane Nall Douthit of Madison passed away Friday, Oct. 8 at Huntsville Hospital.

Dr. Douthit was born in Birmingham. She graduated from Mountain Brook High School and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Auburn University. She was active in North Central Alabama Girl Scouts, a member of AVMA and a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Douthit; daughter, Margaret Claire Douthit, both of Madison; brother, Andy Nall of Birmingham; and sisters, Martha Long and Ellen Lamb, both of Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Nall and Kimball Boan Nall.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. at Church of the Nativity, Eustis Avenue, Huntsville with the Rev. Mary Ann Akin officiating.
