City making traffic signal changes Saturday, Oct. 16 on Madison Boulevard at Wall Triana and Zierdt Road intersections

On Saturday, Oct. 16, the city of Madison will be changing the traffic signal operations on Madison Boulevard at the Wall Triana Highway and Zierdt Road intersections.

Both locations will change to a full eight-phase signal operation with concurrent left turns and through traffic on opposing traffic lanes.

This change is for the improvement of traffic flow on Madison Boulevard and is a step toward coordinating the signals on Madison Boulevard.

Motorists are asked to be aware of these changes and use extra caution while workers are in the intersections making these changes, and as drivers become accustomed to the new signal operations.

If you have questions, please contact the city’s engineering department at 256-772-8431 or by e-mail at jenny.spain@madisonal.gov.
