Liberty Middle coach in ICU
Liberty Middle School head football coach Kip Hodge collapsed in the school’s gym around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27.
“He had an irregular heartbeat that probably caused this, but he is in stable condition,” said Principal Sally Bruer.
She said the school’s Medical Emergency Response Team responded and administered CPR, with the help of school resource officer Ed Sasan.
Bruer said Hodge’s condition is in the cardiac ICU and is “alert and stable.”
“Please keep Kip and his family in your thoughts and prayers,” Bruer said.
