W. Madison students shop for the holidays

West Madison’s PTA is doing something special this holiday season.

The school is having Holiday Shop, which will be set up Dec. 7 through Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school.

Students will have the opportunity to buy items for parents, siblings and grandparents.

This shop is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the joy of giving during the holiday season. Items range in cost from 25 cents to $7, with the majority of the items being between 25 cents and $2. Every child will have an opportunity to shop.

Volunteers will help the children select gifts in their price range. The gifts will even be “wrapped” by the child.

The Holiday Shop is a service project/learning experience for the children; it is not a fundraiser for PTA.  Several volunteers are needed to help the children.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Katie Gaertner at wmesvolunteers@gmail.com.
