Margie Stringer Lamb; Jan. 2, 2011

Margie Stringer Lamb, age 88, of Huntsville, died on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at South Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with David Edgar officiating. Burial will follow in Flint River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 from 6-9 p.m.

Mrs. Lamb was a longtime member and Sunday School Teacher at the Flint river Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Lamb; her parents, Cecil and Mattie Stringer; her great granddaughter, Mallory Lee Wright; her brothers, Edward and Carl Stringer; and her sister, Betty Sharp.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kelsoe and husband Tim of Cullman; her son, Dan Lamb and wife Tricia of Huntsville; her brother, Danny Stringer; her grandchildren, Greg Edwards, Daniel Lamb, Matthew Lamb, Tessia Wright, and Tiffany Edmondson; 6 great grandchildren; and her nephew, Robert Earl Sharp.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of South Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center for the care given to Mrs. Lamb during her stay.

Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville is assisting the family.
