West Madison Winter Carnival right around corner

West Madison’s Winter Carnival is the primary student/family activity for school’s second semester.

This year, the carnival will be held Saturday, Jan. 29. The carnival includes games with prizes, concessions, Bingo and a raffle.

Each classroom will host a game or serve in concessions.

The games are already constructed and ready to be set out. Prizes will be ordered by the PTA board and Winter Carnival chair people.

Each game requires an unlimited game wristband, which will be $8 and presold through the school and available for purchase at the door.

Concessions will be served in the cafeteria and will include drinks, nachos, popcorn, hotdogs and candy. Prepaid concession combos are sold through the school.

There will also be a raffle. Each class or group of classes provides a basket for the raffle.  Basket values are usually between $300-$400.  Each basket has a theme and the class provides basket items to match their theme.  Tickets are sold before and at the door.  Tickets are placed in boxes corresponding to the basket desired.  Winners are chosen at the end of the carnival and baskets awarded at that time.

Winter Carnival is a fun activity for all WMES students, their parents and friends.  Everyone has a great time.
