Margaret Hubbard; Jan. 18, 2011

Margaret Virginia Harris Hubbard, 70, of Madison, AL died peacefully at home Jan. 18, 2011 after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday Jan. 20, 2011 at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Palubicki, Mrs. Hubbard’s brother-in-law officiating.

She was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Brewton to Herman and Dorothy Jernigan Harris. She grew up in Pensacola, Fla. Her Husband, Jerry, was in the military; therefore, they traveled extensively. Virginia’s favorite location was Hawaii. She loved it so much that she requested her ashes be scattered over the beautiful blue waters of Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Jeannette Steele and Betty Preiz, all of Pensacola, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hubbard. Two sons (also veterans) Kenneth (Lori) Hubbard and Eric (Tammie) Hubbard. Six grandchildren and one Great Grandchild. Brothers Phillip (Janie) Harris of Albertville, and Leonard (Susan) Harris of Southport, Fla. and a sister Anne (Tony) Palubicki of Big Stone Gap, V.A.

The family would like to thank her wonderful caregiver, Merita Faye Conerly, for her compassion. Her loving smile and always caring attitude will be missed by her family and loved ones. She is now at peace with her Heavenly Father.
