More snow? Forecasts calling for light accumulation

Up to an inch of snow is being forecasted across the Tennessee Valley late Thursday evening into Friday morning.

Despite temperatures being forecast to be in the 50s Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop below freezing with precipitation beginning as rain and turning to snow late in the evening.

Even though temperatures have been above freezing the last couple of days, the ground was saturated with snow in areas for more than a week, meaning some accumulation is expected on the grassy areas and on roadways.

Motorists are asked to use extreme caution Friday morning.
