More snow in the forecast
After three winter weather events during the last month, many Madison residents are sick of the snow.
Bad news: more may be on the way.
Forecasts are calling for more of the white stuff early in the week, as a low-pressure system moves up from the Gulf at the same time an upper disturbance moves from the north southward.
Rain Sunday evening will likely turn to snow Monday before tapering off throughout the day.
However, more snow is projected Monday evening, and snow showers are expected Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
Accumulation forecast vary from a dusting up to 6 inches.
Monday’s high will be 49 degrees with a low of 37 and a 30 percent chance of a rain/snow mix.
Tuesday’s high will be 46 with a low of 29 and a 60 percent chance of snow.
Wednesday’s high will be 40 degree with a low of 26 and a 30 percent chance of snow.
Sunshine should return Thursday as the low-pressure system moves up the east coast.
