Bob Jones boys soccer team announced

Uwe Spiller, Bob Jones boys’ soccer coach, has announced the 2011 team.

Spiller said he is excited about the prospects for the Patriots this season and he “hopes they will be playing in the Final 4 in May.”

The team introduction followed inter-squad scrimmages played at the Madison City Stadium. The scrimmages gave fans an opportunity to get their first look at the varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams, which began practicing on Jan. 24.

This year’s varsity team players are: Jordan Cox, Eric Dong, Tyler Finley, Max Isper, Cody Johnson, Sam Knapp, Michael Mcmanus, Ryan Miller, Johnathan Mitchell, Jared Mitchell, Dilan Patel, Tyler Rist, Max Schmidt, Josh Snoddy, Paul Tassone, Matt VanScoy, Emanuel Waddell and Zach Wroblewski.

This year’s junior varsity team players are: Ahmed Arafat, Justin Benson, Andrew L Brosnan, Emilio Castaneda, Zach Chandler, Preston Crumbly, Ethan Downs, Tanner Hedges, David Hergenroeder, Takuya Ishiwa, Joshua McManus, Jack Patrick, Austin Rodenberry, Skyler Schmidt, Zayn Sharadge, Connor Tibbs, Matt Trulock, Tevon Walker and John Weber.

This year’s freshmen team players are: Shay Appling, Alex Black, Nathan Booth, Chad Brand, Marcos Canabal, Dustin Easterling, Joshua Evans, Gill Gardner, Nicholas Hoepfner, Mitchell Holden, Josh O’Bryant, Joe Paschall, Tristan Samios, Zachary Sanford, Ben Schmidt, Marcus Swain and Ethan Williams.

The teams are coached by Head Coach Spiller, Assistant Coach Jacob Siefert, Junior Varsity Coach John “JR” Burnett and Freshmen Coach Brain Kimbugwe. This is Spiller’s first year as head coach at Bob Jones. Spiller has been playing soccer since age 6 and he has been heavily involved in coaching Huntsville-area club soccer teams.

The varsity season kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. with a home game against Decatur. More information concerning the Bob Jones Boys Soccer team and season schedules can be found at http://www.bobjonessports.com/.
