BJHS boys’ soccer beats down Buckhorn

The Bob Jones boys’ soccer team extended their record to 3-0 Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over Buckhorn.

Tyler Rist led the Patriots with two goals, while Tyler Finley finished with one goal.

The varsity boys will travel to Orange Beach to participate in the Island Cup tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Tournament games will be broadcast live online at Islandcup.net/2011%20Island%20Cup%20Broadcast.htm.

Following the Island Cup, the Patriots play on the road at Decatur on Tuesday, March 1, at 4:30 p.m.

The junior varsity boys team also beat Buckhorn on Tuesday, 10-0.

Scoring for the JV Patriots were David Hergenroeder with three goals, Matt Trulock with two goals and Tannon Hedges, Skyler Schmidt, Emilio Castaneda, Jack Patrick and Ahmed Arafat with one goal apiece. The junior varsity and freshmen teams travel to play at Hoover on Thursday.
