HS Boys’ Soccer: Patriots down rival Senators

Ethan Downs pulled down six saves as the Bob Jones Patriots earned the come-from-behind victory over cross-town rival Sparkman Tuesday night, 3-1.

The Senators were ahead 1-0 at the half, but Willie Artiga tied the game in the second half on a penalty kick.

Tyler Rist and Jonathan Mitchell each added a score in the second half to seal the victory.

Rist also had an assist in the win.

Taylor Reed scored the Senators’ lone goal.

The Patriots (6-1-0) face Florence at home at the turf field behind Bob Jones High School on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
