UAH’s final exam schedule has been suspended

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (April 30, 2011) — The University of Alabama in Huntsville has suspended its final examination schedule due to a lack of power on the campus.
UAHuntsville students are being provided a couple of options. They can accept heir letter grade as of April 27. Students do not have to take any action for this option. Students can also complete their remaining coursework and can also choose to take a final exam that will be scheduled later in May.
University officials will be available at the University Center to answer students’ questions on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Students who are not on campus can call 256.824.7777 to get answers to their questions.
More details will be available on a day and time when students can take finals by Wednesday, May 4 at 5 p.m.
The university also announced that next weekend’s commencement exercises have been postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced later.
Essential employees are asked to report to work on Monday. The university will be in contact with non-essential employees on when those workers should return to work.
UAH employees and students are urged to continue to monitor the website or local media for updated information.
