Betty Stansbury Butcher; May 17, 2011

Betty Stansbury Butcher, 70, of Madison passed away Tuesday, May 17.

Mrs. Butcher was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn. and lived in Huntsville over 40 years. She was a very devoted wife and mother, and was considered a mother figure to many. Mrs. Butcher stood by her husband as he built his business, Butcher Drafting Service.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Butcher.

Survivors include son, Joseph Bartow Butcher, Jr. of Madison; daughters, Linda Butcher Keene and husband, Gordon, of Huntsville, Donna J. Butcher of Madison; grandson, Houston A. Keene, of Huntsville; granddaughter, Kaitlin N. Keene, of Huntsville; brothers, Bob W. Stansbury and wife, Sandra, of Fla., Sam E. Stansbury and wife, Shirley, of Tenn., Jim L. Stansbury and wife, MaryAnne, of Ga.; sister, Carolyn S. Bell and husband, Bobby, of Fla.; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21 in the chapel with Bro. Denny A. Reasner officiating. Burial was in Faith Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
