Madison Street Festival announces grant program

Grant requests can now be submitted to the Madison Street Festival. Grant Committee Chairperson Brenda Parker said after bills are paid, remaining money is given back to the community.

Parker said to apply for a grant, visit Madisonstreetfestival.org and click on the “grant program” link. Simply print and complete the application, and submit it by September 1.

After the Festival last year, more than $6,000 was distributed throughout the community. In the past, the Festival has given grants to organizations such as the Madison Animal Rescue Foundation, Aspergers Connection and the Madison Public Library.

This year’s Madison Street Festival is slated for October 1.
