Parking lot to free more space at city hall

The parking lot would be used for authorized and emergency vehicles.

In about two weeks, Madison Police Department personnel will have a new place to park.

For the past two months, construction on a new parking lot located across from city hall on Hughes Road has had some wondering who would be able to utilize the extra parking spaces.

Lt. Steve Wilkerson of the Madison Police Department said the parking lot would be used for authorized and emergency vehicles. This in turn will free up space in front of city hall for public use.
