Concrete pouring to begin Thursday at Shoppes of Madison

Concrete pouring will begin for the Target store located in the soon-to-be Shoppes of Madison shopping center on Hwy 72.

Because of the elevated temperatures and nature of the pour, the Madison City Council has agreed to allow the contractor to begin work in the early morning hours on the following days:

Thursday, July 14; Friday, July 15; Wednesday, July 20;Thursday July 21; Friday, July 22; and Wednesday, July 27.

Pouring will begin at 1 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m.

A general contractor assured the city that noise levels at the worksite will be closely monitored, according to the City of Madison Planning Department. Several measures are said to be in place to direct light and noise away from homes during those periods of early morning work.
