Mayor to help raise first wall on new Target Store

Mayor Paul Finley will help raise the first wall of Madison’s new Target store next week.

Officials from the Target corporation will also announce new details about the store’s features and community plans to give back to the community. Officials will also reveal the store’s new design.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 at the new development located at 8207 Hwy 72.

Sarah Van Nevel, Target spokesperson said the Madison location is receiving special attention because this is the first announced Target for the month of March.

“This is the first time this has been done in awhile, so we’re really excited about it,” she said. “The mayor has been a really great partner and we’re excited to have him, Target and the city council all in one place to celebrate it. It will be a really great add to Madison community.”
