August Yards of Madison winners announced

The Madison Beautification and Tree Board is pleased to announce the names of the following homeowners who have been honored for their hard work in creating and maintaining an outstanding yard, despite the intense heat and humidity of August:

David and  Kimberly Junghans, Brian and Carolyn Vaughn, Richard Dethomas, Donald and Rhonda Lustig,Luther and Tina Buis, David and Debora Fletcher, David and Julia Milburn, Pedro Rodriguez IV, John and Sandra Glynn, Robert Retsch, Stephen and Jennifer Clardy, Mateen Muhammad, Matt Smith, Michael Schovel, George and Dorothy Reid, Norma Henry, Leon Gill, Thomas and Kelly Adkinson, Robert and Maria Cayse, Cory and Susan Thomas, Michael and Tamara Madkins, Joel and Paula Austin, Charles and Connie Metoyer, Jacqueline and Jimmy Spain,Mary Sherban, Laurel Getty and Bernard Lawrence, Janet and David Nelson, Claire and Robert Plummer, Monty and Kathy Offutt, Hurcey and Janet Toney and Merrill and Mary Lynn Wright.

Yards of Madison is a program designed to honor homeowners within the city of Madison who, by their hard work and dedication, add to the attractiveness of their neighborhoods by maintaining an exceptional yard.

A certificate of appreciation and letter of congratulations are presented to those individuals or families who are selected by their neighborhood homeowner associations or are nominated by any Madison resident.  No judging is required.

The program is on-going from May through October.  Nomination forms may be  obtained by going to www.madisonalbeautification.org and clicking on the Yards of Madison program or you may email the pertinent information; i.e., name, address, phone number and email addresses of the nominee and the name of the person nominating the yard to Elizabeth Cuneo at madisonbeautificationboard@yahoo.com.

The Board looks forward to recognizing our neighbors who work endless hours in their yards, bringing pride to the city of Madison.
