Robbery suspects’ names released

Madison Police Officers arrested three area men for the first-degree robbery of Advance America on Madison Boulevard.

Hunley

Varian Hunley, 24, is being held on $150,000 bond; Leroderick Crutcher, 20, a $60,000 bond; and 31-year-old Justin Betts is  also being held on a $60,000 bond.

MPD officers were in the area of a robbery In progress at the Advance America on Madison Boulevard.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and gave chase. Officers chased the vehicle to Slaughter Road where two subjects fled on foot and the driver continued into Huntsville.

Crutcher

One suspect was caught after a brief foot chase, the other a short time later during a K-9 perimeter search. MPD and HPD pursued the vehicle into Huntsville where officers stopped and detained the driver, Crutcher. Suspects were arrested and detained at the Madison Huntsville-County Detention Facility.
