Local woman to appear on Food Network

A local woman will be in the living rooms of millions this weekend when she appears on the Food Network’s show Unwrapped.

Johnson

Jenny Johnson will take viewers behind the scenes of a Dove Chocolate Discoveries™ Chocolate Tasting Party.

“We filmed for about 8 hours and I’m not positive what all will be featured in the episode, but I spent a lot of time making homemade truffles which I used to make Rudolph Truffle Cupcakes.”

Johnson also demonstrated how to make decadent three-ingredient mousse.

“After we filmed what goes into preparing for a chocolate tasting party, we filmed a live chocolate party with guests.  Viewers can see what a Chocolatier does to prepare for a party and how much fun guests have tasting at the actual party.”

As a Chocolatier, Johnson brings the chocolate tasting experience right to your home or office.

The Discoveries line is not sold in stores and available exclusively through Chocolatiers.

“People are familiar with the Dove brand and its unparalleled reputation, so I always find they are excited to sample my products,” Johnson said.

Dove has five lines: beverages, simple desserts such as the mousse and truffle fudge brownies, instant gratification, candy making, which allows you to make gourmet chocolates at home and a new line that includes sweet and smoky chocolate barbecue sauce.

“When I decided to become a Dove Chocolate Discoveries Chocolatier, I never imagined all of the amazing opportunities that would come my was as a result,” she said. “I’ve had friends tell me I should be on Food Network, so when I got the call to be a part of Unwrapped, it was just surreal.”

Dove Chocolate Discoveries landed the segment for Unwrapped and selected two Chocolatiers out of a pool of around 3,000 to represent them in the segment. She said it was a combination of factors that led to her selection for the show.

“I had previously been on camera for the company in a live webinar, so I was very comfortable in front of the camera.  I had also received national recognition for accomplishments during my first one and a half years in the business, including sitting on the advisory council as the President’s Choice for 2010. I feel very flattered and honored to have had the opportunity.”
