Marion G. Jenkins; Nov. 17, 2011

Marion Genevieve “Jenny” Jenkins, 87, of Madison, formerly of Boaz, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17 at her residence.

Mrs. Jenkins was born in Georgia on Dec. 7, 1923, to Shemual Preston and Mary Jane Knight Murray. She was retired from civil service with the U.S. Air Force.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Jenkins.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, E.W. “Zek” and Barbara Jenkins of Madison, and Michael Murray and Paula Jenkins of Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Jane Faye and Bobby Gilliam of Georgia; grandchildren, Morrisia, Mary, Laura and Todd; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Terry Smith, Bryan Smith, Tim Smith, Phillip Smith, Paul Waligora and Ricky Cruse.

Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Tony Gunter officiating. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz was in charge of arrangements.
