Bob Jones debuts at number 1 in poll

BY LINDSAY VAUGHT

Tonight’s scheduled game between Bob Jones and Lee High was postponed due to a leak in the Lee High School gymnasium. Coaches said that it will be rescheduled.

Bob Jones will play a full slate of girl’s and boy’s games at home Saturday night against Buckhorn starting at 4:30 p.m.

The AHSAA released the first rankings for basketball today and the Bob Jones boys (5-0) were ranked #1 in 6A. The Bob Jones girls (6-1) were ranked #2 behind Hoover.

Sparkman girls were also ranked coming in at #8 in 6A. Madison Academy had both the girls and boys ranked in 3A. The boys are #2 and girls #3.
