Car slams into house

Just before 7:30am this morning a woman left the road and slammed into a brick home at the intersection of Capshaw Road and Balch Road. The driver was injured in the crash and transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. The car tore a large hole in the side of the home as well as tearing the gas meter loose causing a natural gas leak. Huntsville Police and Fire Departments closed  Capshaw road between Balch Road and Sam Thomas due to the gas leak.
