Update: late night crash claims life

Madison Police are investigating the cause of a crash that claimed the life of  41-year-old woman.

The crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. last night at the intersection of Hughes Road and Madison Blvd. The crash shut down East bound lanes of Madison Blvd and the South bound lanes of Hughes Road until 4:30 p.m

According to Madison Police, a Lincoln town car was traveling west when he slammed into the drivers side of a red Cavalier driven by the victim, as she was making a turn in the intersection. Madison Fire Department, Madison Police, and Hemsi all responded, but  the 41-year-old woman was killed instantly.
