Donald W. Scott; Jan. 5, 2012

Retired Master Gunnery Sergeant Donald W. Scott, 74 passed away at Huntsville Hospital January 5.

Mr. Scott of Madison, was a recipient of the Navy Cross awarded for actions while serving in Vietnam with Company D, 1st Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division in 1966. His post-retirement work included security detail at the TVA Browns Ferry plant and the LG Electronics facility in Huntsville.

A loving husband and devoted father of three, he is survived by his wife Jayne, sons Jonathan and Shannon of Madison, daughter Sharron Von Hoene of Atlanta, grandsons Sabastian and Gareth, siblings Randy, Philip, Betty and Brian.
