John Edward Hope; Jan. 9, 2012

John Edward Hope of Madison entered his house not made with hands on Jan. 9, 2012 at 10:30 p.m.

He was born in Frankfurt, Germany on Nov. 2, 1952, one of four children born to the late Murl and Mary Hope. John was the cherished husband of Teresa Hope and loving father of Melanie Hope.

He leaves behind brothers, Murl Hope (and wife, Janet) and Terry Hope (and wife, Mary); sister Dolly Jo Spear (and husband, Ben); and numerous nieces and nephews.

John loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army as an airborne ranger and helicopter gunner. He was a Vietnam veteran. John was a devoted family man and dearly loved his wife and daughter.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home. The memorial service was held on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with burial following in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
