Crash ties up traffic

Driver and truck involved in crash

A pick-up truck collided with a FedEx tractor trailer at Madison Blvd and County Line Road.

Just after 1:00 p.m. an older model dodge pick-up crashed into the passenger side fuel tank of a fully loaded FedEx tractor trailer. According to the driver of the FedEx truck he had just made the turn to head northbound on County Line Road when the dodge truck ran through the red light.  “He just slammed into me” the driver said, “He hit me so hard I slammed up against the drivers door” he added. Huntsville Fire Rescue, Hazmat, Huntsville Police, and Madison Police all responded. North bound lanes of County Line Road were closed while the wreck and fuel was cleaned up. No injuries were reported.
