Marie Mary Campis; Feb. 16, 2012

Marie Mary Campis, loving mother, grandmother and aunt, of Madison died Thursday, Feb. 16 at home surrounded by her family. Affectionately known as Mom, Nana and Aunt Mary, Marie was born and raised in Detroit, Mich. and moved to Alabama in 2001.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Campis and her brother, Peter Ferrante. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Perez and Donna (Michael) Modaff, five grandchildren, Victoria Perez, Jessica Perez, Nicolas Perez, Kaitlyn Modaff and Ashley Modaff along with a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation with the family will be at St. John’s The Baptist Catholic Church from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25. A memorial mass will follow at noon with Father Phil O’Kennedy officiating. Immediately following the mass there will be a luncheon honoring this remarkable woman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the WEDC Foundation Attn: Janice Sanders, 185 Chateau Drive Suite 200-A Huntsville, Al 35801.
