Burglary suspect apprehended quickly
Early Wednesday morning Madison Police responded to a report of burglary in progress in the area of Lewis Lane.
Madison K-9 units tracked the offender to a residence at 133 Lewis Lane located off of Sullivan Street.
There officers found the offender 29-year-old Martin McNaron Smith who was already out on bond from previous charges including a robbery charge and shooting into an occupied vehicle that is waiting on a decision by the grand jury.
Madison investigators said they obtained a warrant and found evidence of the burglary and also drugs inside the house.
Smith was taken into custody and booked on a $30,000 bond.
