Richard A. Dillard; April 28, 2012

Richard A. Dillard, 82, of Huntsville passed away Saturday, April 28.

Mr. Dillard was an avid duplicate bridge player and director. He also loved playing tennis and skeet shooting as well as hunting. Mr. Dillard was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and he was a graduate of Millsap’s college in Jackson, Miss.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dell Dillard; son, Michael Shaun Dillard of Huntsville; and daughter, Kelly Suzanne Dillard of Savannah, Ga.

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Father Louis Giardino officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Public Library or the Greater Huntsville Humane Society.
