DMS band director’s son arrested for child pornography

Madison police have arrested the son of Discovery Middle School Band Director Johnny Nash on charges of possession of pornography.

John Bradley Nash, 24, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

His father was arrested violation of Alabama’s mandatory reporting law.

On June 28, the Madison Police Department was notified by Discovery Middle School administration of a possible inappropriate relationship between a 15-year-old female student and Bradley, who was working as a volunteer.

Police said school administrators immediately worked with Madison Police and the student’s parents. It was discovered the relationship had previously been reported to the band director who failed to report the relationship to authorities as mandated by state law.

A search warrant on Bradley Nash’s computer revealed obscene images of minors. Bradley Nash was arrested at the Madison Police Department July 3 on a warrant for the listed charge.

He was placed in the Madison County Jail on $2,500 bond.
